Colt 1911 Inspiration

So I started doing this before I wrote up this blog so I don't have any WIP (work in progress) of this model but its not finalised yet, but I want to leave it alone for now so I can start something properly. this is a Colt 1911 inspired Semi-Automatic Pistol that I started the other week, I have the basics there but I want to start something else with some more research behind it.

So, what I have decided to do with this blog is to use it to develop my 3D artistic skills. I had been racking my brain for ages with something awesome to do that will help me develop technically and artistically and to do this I needed to latch onto something I'm good with and have a decently amount of knowledge about.

So after a couple of weeks I remembered stumbling across a job, and it was a props modeller, what for you ask, a Weapons and Vehicle modeller. Fantastic, I have been brought up around guns and things that go boom since I was about 7 years old and I have been shooting on and off ever since.

So I want to make a bunch of guns and vehicles, not so much to be in a scene together but just to develop my skills, I will try to post the models at different stages, but when I seem to be on a role I forget these things. I will be doing a mixture of real-life, real-life inspired, sci-fi and fantasy weapons and vehicles.
